Horse Racing Betting Tips. Horse Racing Betting Tips are an integral part of betting on horses.  Everyone wants the latest “hot” tip that is going to help pick them a winner.  Well the problem is some of the betting tips are not really that valuable and not based on anything other than a hunch.  Not that there is anything wrong with hunches.   In the next few articles I am going to run through some of the better known horse racing betting tips and go into these in more detail.  You will then be able to evaluate whether or not you wish to incorporate these into your horse racing strategy. The first one is distance.  I am not listing the horse racing betting tips in any particular order of importance.  On the whole horses do have a distance at which they perform better.  I know is true because years ago I competed in athletics.  I was hopeless at short sprints but an amazing long distance and cross country runner.  My trainer would have ate his hat before he entered me into a short 100 metre sprint!!!!!  Horses are the same.   A horse that is very quick but with very little stamina is always going to perform better in a shorter, sprint race and then you will have horses who are not so quick but have more stamina.  These will obviously perform better in long distance races.   Checking out these statistics will give you a good idea which is the best distance for each horse.  You must,however, rather like my running trainer, bear in mind the horse trainers will enter the horses they feel are more suitable for the race.  So you must not put too much weight on this as basically if it is a short sprint the majority of horses in that race will be optimized for that distance.  Horse racing betting tips number two is a rather simple but sometimes overlooked one.   Shop around for prices.  You will find there is a difference between odds at bookmakers and if you are betting on horses as a business venture rather like stocks and shares then you have to always try and get the best deal.  These costs along with others which I will go into more detail about in a later article do matter and add up.   Remember gleaning horse racing betting tips is fun if used sensibly
